ESHB 1840 unanimously passed the Washington State Legislature in 2014. Despite the change in law, many communities continue to struggle to implement and enforce protection order related firearm laws. In this session you will learn about King County's newly created Regional Domestic Violence Firearms Enforcement Unit and the work their Coordinator, Advocate, Sergeant and Prosecutors are doing to help promote a culture of compliance and enforce Washington State firearm laws.
