We Choose Love! We Choose Democracy! We Choose Community!

We are working to create a world where everyone can live and love freely without fear. Inspired by the We Choose All of Us campaign by the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, this year’s conference will explore what it means to choose love, choose democracy, and to choose community. Join us to get inspired and learn how to put these big concepts into action in your daily life and work.



API Chaya
Advocate & Organizer
Yukie is a senior survivor advocate and community organizer for API Chaya, formerly API Women and Family Safety Center, where she compassionately advocates for more inclusive and humane services. She is a member of Washington State Coalition For Language Access and is also serving as an advisory committee member of DSHS Language Testing and Certification Program. After working and freelancing in the private sector, Yukie joined the non-profit world in 2011. She utilizes her language skills to more deeply connect one another, and believes strongly that linguistic diversity is essential for improving the welfare of individuals and communities. Yukie received her education in Japan and US, and has established strong roots in the greater Seattle area.
